    As part of the Mechanical Design team, you will be required to support the design release activities and PDM / PLM development and maintenance.

    Key responsibilities;

    • Create CAD models, assemblies, drawings and specifications according to best practice and corporate standards
    • Ensure the corporate standard for CAD modelling and drafting is followed by adherence to, and the provision of guidance to others
    • Check engineering drawings for compliance to BS 8888, GD&T and best practices

    We are looking to hire a Sales Administrator to join our team at the Coventry facility. 

    The Sales Administrator will be responsible for processing orders through from receipt of order to point of dispatch, this includes creating invoices and arranging delivery of products to various international locations. You will be working to deadlines defined by the business. 

    You will be expected to have all round experience in:

    • Working closely with production planning/manufacturing to ensure orders are all fulfilled within set timescales
    • Multitasking and coordinating customer dispatch, liaising with production and carriers to ensure customer expectations are met 
    • Producing export documentation
    • Maintaining relationships with Customers and dealing with queries, responding back within suitable timeframes
    • Taking ownership of Sales Order Processing 
    • Handling and processing invoices

    Bladon Jets are currently recruiting for an Experienced Service Engineer. This is a worldwide customer facing role which requires the ability to communicate with customers and distributors at all levels and play a key part in our evolving business.

    Key Responsibilities;

    • Local factory based support of micro turbine generators
    • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) project and infant care programme
    • Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems
    • Replace mechanical and electrical components
    • Produce reports on field issues
    • Carry out installations and commissioning in the field at Customer sites
    • Liaising with factory engineers on field issues
    • Working with Customers locally and remotely to understand and rectify problems on a daily basis

    • Design and provide field training as required
    • Work with Distributors and their technicians in various locations around the world

     Travel Requirements;

    • Travel throughout Africa, Middle East, Far East, Australia etc.
    • Trips can range from around 1 week up to potentially in excess of 4 weeks dependant on business needs
    • Travel needs are rotated throughout the Aftermarket team
    • Stays abroad are in hotels local to the customer site

    Qualifications & Experience;

    • Qualified to HNC/HND in electrical or mechanical subject or able to demonstrate equivalent experience - Must have some experience in both disciplines
    • Extensive experience in a field service environment with the ability to work autonomously
    • Previous customer facing experience and working in an OEM environment would be advantageous
    • Previous experience of training field personnel and MTGs would be advantageous
    • Knowledge of FTAs and failure reporting systems

    The role is responsible for “cradle to grave” support to the Quality Engineers including, but not limited to; 

    • NPI activities with the suppliers and Bladon MT internally

    • Identifying and supporting VA/VE activities to maintain and improve Bladon MT’s position in the world market

    Supplier Facing Activities NPI

    • Complete all stock control activities to ensure cost recovery

     Supplier Facing Activities on Going

    • Maintain and compile supplier performance data to support supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of correction actions of supplier quality issues
    • Coordinate supplier performance, problem solving, cost recovery
    • Collating and evaluating supplier quality data to support PQA Engineering

    Plant Quality

    • Support internal quality audits, applying best practice and coordinating audit plans
    • Collate and analyse line performance data to support PQA Engineering
    • Supporting root cause analysis activities to identify internal and supplier technical issues
    • Maintenance of process control documentation
    • Collating and evaluating internal quality data to support PQA Engineering
    • Respond to and work cross functionally to resolve reported customer technical issues

    Skills / Experience;

    • Extensive experience in automotive or aerospace Quality Assurance Engineering
    • Preferably qualified to HNC level within a related Engineering discipline (Mechanical /Electrical)
    • An understanding of casting, pressing, harnesses and/ or electronics
    • Lean 6 Sigma Green Belt preferred
    • Understanding of 8D, 5 why Ishikawa, is/ is not
    • Basic understanding of ISO9001, preferably internal auditor trained
    • Understanding of Process Flow, Control Plan Process FMEA
    • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
    • Proven interpersonal skills, with the ability to support a cross functional team where required

    • Reviewing supplier manufacturing processes, collaborating with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities

    • Collating and evaluating supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities across the supply chain
    • Setting and reporting out on KPIs to drive Continuous Improvement activities

    Plant Quality

    • Manage line performance data to support PQA Engineering
    • Promoting the use of Continuous Improvement techniques throughout the business including Lean, 6-Sigma, Poka-Yoke, Measurement System Analysis, SPC and PFMEA
    • Leading internal quality audits, applying best practice and coordinating audit plans
    • Respond to and work cross functionally to resolve reported customer technical issues
    • Deliver training on quality awareness

    Skills / Experience;

    • Demonstrable experience in automotive or aerospace Quality Assurance Engineering
    • Preferably qualified to HNC level within a related Engineering discipline (Mechanical /Electrical)
    • An understanding of casting, pressing, harnesses and electronics
    • Proven problem-solving abilities with the 8D, 5 why and able to demonstrate a wide range of tools and techniques (Ishikawa, is/ is not DoE etc)
    • Excellent working knowledge of ISO9001, preferably lead auditor trained
    • Excellent understanding of health and safety in the workplace
    • Excellent working knowledge of AIAG core tools
    • Highly developed written and oral communication skills with strong presentation preparation and delivery skills
    • Proven interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence a cross functional team where direct authority does not exist

    We are currently recruiting for a Product Support Engineer to join our dedicated team in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative Engineering Company and use your skills and extensive knowledge within a supportive, engaging environment.

    The right candidate will manage the end to end response processes required to all product support requests, originating from customers, internal service teams, manufacturing teams, electronics manufacturing partners or our own internal test and development teams.

    Initially, this will be the only dedicated support engineer role within the electronics hardware team, but as the installed product base continues to grow, and as a by-product we need to increase our level of support resources, this role has the potential to develop into a team leadership position.

    Key Responsibilities;

    Office Based Support Tasks

    • Co-ordinating investigations & drafting responses to FRACAS, NCIOR, CCAR
    • Drafting ECRs, securing approvals, chasing completion on ECR actions
    • Drafting ECOs, securing approvals, driving implementation
    • Drafting Deviations & Concessions, driving containments & corrective actions
    • Organising & attending design reviews and DFMEA reviews, taking minutes, recording actions, following up & closing out
    • Maintaining accurate records on all prototypes (allocation, pedigree, modification records, etc.)
    • Building & maintaining the complete electrical Bill Of Materials for upcoming production builds
    • Tracking and ensuring release status on all components for upcoming production builds
    • Tracking order status and ensuring availability of parts for upcoming production builds
    • Completing purchase requisitions and managing all non-production purchasing activities for the department
    • Performing the PCB Librarian role (after a suitable period of familiarisation & training)

    Lab Based Support Tasks

    • Organising the electronics lab to achieve and maintain high standards of 5S
    • Organising, storing, labelling, and maintaining stocks of frequently used components in the electronics lab
    • Conducting regular EHS audits, documenting results, following up & closing out actions Implementing and operating a test equipment calibration service to bring all necessary equipment into calibration
    • Maintaining all test equipment in good working order, organising repairs / replacements when necessary
    • Booking in/out test equipment, tools, etc. on loan to other departments
    • Supporting design engineers by performing simple modifications to PCBAs (no previous experience required)

    Qualifications & Experience;

    • Must have recently worked in, or currently employed in, an electronics design and/or manufacturing environment. Candidates having product support experience but not having electronics product knowledge would not be considered suitable for the role.
    • Electronics design experience is not a necessity, but a background in PCB test and repair to component level would be advantageous
    • Preferably (but not essentially) good hand soldering skills (PCB prototype build and/or modification) involving surface mount components
    • Previous responsibility for organising and maintaining electronics lab facilities would be advantageous
    • Experience of / Exposure to PCB layout, ideally in Altium. along with experience of generating and maintaining component libraries would be a distinct advantage
    • Must have some level of exposure to, and familiarity with, operation of engineering change and engineering release processes
    • Must be highly organised, structured and able to operate both at high level and detail level
    • Demonstrable experience in providing administration support for a busy department is a must
