    We are looking to hire an experienced Buyer to join our dedicated team in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative engineering Company and use your skills and extensive knowledge within a supportive, engaging environment. 

    As part of the Supply Chain team, you will manage the purchasing the Combustor and Fuel System components for our Micro Turbine Generator. The role will involve identifying best supply options and managing current and new suppliers as well as driving cost out.

    The right candidate will also be involved in other Supply Chain procurement needs and will have the opportunity to grow within the role and the department. An ideal development opportunity within a fast-paced exciting business as we move to full scale manufacturing.

    Buyers key responsibilities;

    • To manage the current, and source new, supply options – reducing costs and improving quality
    • Negotiate on all contractual terms including payment terms, lead times and service levels
    • Supplier identification and monitoring of performance and competitiveness including reporting out on said performance
    • To understand and apply recognised tools and techniques, such as scorecards, to reduce business costs whilst maintaining supplier relationships
    • Supporting tender processes and reporting out on the results

    The right candidate will have a minimum 5 years procurement experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment covering production parts, experience of purchasing castings and machining would be an advantage.

    You’ll need to be confident in negotiating all aspects of contracts to maximise value, with a proven track record of meeting firm timelines, with excellent ability to prioritise.

    We are currently recruiting for staff to join our dedicated team in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative engineering Company and use your skills within a supportive, engaging environment.

    Our Materials Handlers will provide a handling service to the Production Line & Sub Assembly Areas within the production facility, alongside general stores / warehouse tasks.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Unloading/loading deliveries/despatches
    • Data entry onto systems
    • Movement of goods around the business areas
    • Pick & deliver material to production areas 
    • Follow written and verbal instructions 
    • Operate forklifts to handle materials and stock
    • Picking and packing items
    • Liaising with other departments including purchasing
    • Document daily pick completion using KPI sheets
    • Stock taking & stock level monitoring / flagging
    • Inventory control (booking goods in & out)
    • Checking/closing internal orders and completing paperwork
    • Continuous improvement ideas 
    • Housekeeping/5S
    • Health & Safety adherence

    Key Experience:

    • SAP data systems experience or similar
    • Counter Balance FLT Licence 
    • Experience of a Lean manufacturing environment an advantage
    • Previous material handling/logistics experience is essential
