    We are looking to recruit an Embedded Software Engineer to work within our onsite Software team. The right candidate must have extensive experience in production software development utilising model based development. The role will lead the software development for the Main Control Unit for our Micro turbine generator. You will also assist in data log analysis and root cause analysis alongside supporting our Service and Test teams in unit operation and debug.

    Key Responsibilities;

    • Responsible for high level Micro Turbine Generator control strategy in Simulink
    • Diagnosing data logs of system and debugging system issues.
    • Maintaining Model in the loop (MIL) test system
    • Mentoring junior members of the software team
    • Reviewing and enhancing software quality procedures

    Skills / Experience;

    • Demonstrable experience working in a small/medium sized company delivering production software using the Mathworks toolchain
    • Expert user of mathworks products applied to embedded applications
    • Experienced in full software development cycle and associated quality processes
    • Demonstrable experience delivering software products within a model based environment
    • Experienced in application of classical control techniques to production systems
    • Experienced user of CAN bus logging and analysis tools (CANalyser/busmaster)
    • Team player who can communicate with software colleagues along with other engineering and manufacturing departments within the company.

    Are you an experienced Programme Lead, looking for a challenging and rewarding new role, within an exciting dynamic Company? 

    Bladon Micro Turbine are currently recruiting for Programme Lead to join our dedicated team in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative engineering Company and use your skills and extensive knowledge within a supportive, engaging environment. 

    You will manage several work packages within the program for our 12kW MTG. This is a critical part of our ground-breaking launch to full scale manufacture. You will be working cross functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain to ensure key milestones are met throughout all the defined phases.  

    The right candidate will work directly with the Head of Programme Delivery to ensure the work package status is up to date at all times, ensuring any issues or concerns are flagged / dealt with and where possible preempted. 

    This is a key role that will feed into the overall delivery of the programme to ensure we meet our organisational objectives. You must be proactive, expert at prioritisation and able to work independently whilst maintaining your position within the teams. A background within Engineering is essential for the role.


    • Direct and support the overall activities of the work packages as necessary to meet budgets, key milestones and performance targets.
    • Work closely with the work package teams to plan and track progress, ensuring an up to date programme of delivery is maintained at all times (via MS Project & MS Excel).
    • Ensure that actions are progressed and highlight areas where the delivery may be delayed along with developing contingencies with the team to maintain delivery timings.
    • Pro-actively identify potential problems and / or risk factors. Risks and issues need to be clearly identified, prioritised and escalated alongside provision of solutions to both real and potential risks / issues.
    • Document issues, identify impact and partake in all review meetings both internal and with suppliers.
    • Ensure the information captured is up to date and is appropriately reported out at various levels throughout the business.
    • Ensure robust adherence to engineering processes including change control processes and Quality standards.
    • Active participation in departmental and planning meetings to ensure consistent updates on progress at all times
    • Work internally with various departments (sales, manufacturing, engineering, finance, quality) to ensure milestones are met
    • Work closely with the Supply base to ensure timely delivery.


    • Engineering Experience / Qualification is essential to enable effective understanding of the work package.
    • A strong technical background to understand the technical specifications, requirements and capabilities associated with the program is essential.
    • A proven track record of delivering complex engineering systems or sub-systems through into volume production in an automotive, aerospace or industrial environment.
    • Previous Programme Delivery / Planning role is essential.
    • ‘Can-Do’ attitude is essential to tease out issues and drive them to resolution.
