- Neil Robson brings 28 years of experience from leading companies
- Further investment in talent underway throughout the business as it moves into production
Bladon Micro Turbine (“Bladon”), the pioneer in the design, development, engineering and manufacture of micro turbine gensets (“MTGs”), today announces the appointment of Neil Robson as Chief Engineer.
Neil brings twenty-eight years of experience developing complex systems for leading international companies including Rolls-Royce, Tata Motors and Torotrak, managing teams of engineers from a wide range of specialist areas, from research through to production. He is experienced in working internationally and joins Bladon most recently from Changan where he was Group Chief Engineer based in the UK R&D centre, and Capability Lead for Powertrain Controls and Calibration in China.
Neil’s appointment comes as Bladon is adding significantly to the strength of its senior management team, positioning the business to take full advantage of the commercial opportunity as it moves into production of the MTG.
Bladon co-founder and UK Director Philip Lelliott has taken on additional responsibilities, for Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Health and Safety and Environmental (HSE), on top of Special Projects, while HR consultant Éric Pietrac, an HR professional with a long track record of developing HR into a value-creating force within business, has joined the Executive Team to lead people development in all areas of the 125-strong organisation.
Simon Martin, Head of Manufacturing, and Andy Roberts, Head of Supply Chain, who both joined in January 2018, bring excellence in their respective fields and complete the management team reporting to Paul Barrett, CEO.
I am excited to start work on Bladon’s pioneering micro turbine gensets. The company is flying the flag for the best of British engineering at a world-leading level and I’m looking forward to sharing the expertise I’ve developed working with other top-flight global companies. The business has a brilliant product in the MTG, with fantastic commercial potential.
Bladon’s success will depend on our people and I am delighted that we have found a Chief Engineer as experienced and talented as Neil. He joins an already high-quality team, which we are strengthening further and investing in with the guidance of dedicated HR professional Éric Pietrac and our uniquely accomplished Chairman Sir John Baker. Bladon Micro Turbine is making progress down an exciting path and we always welcome conversations with ambitious engineers who would like to join a world leading company.
